General Information

Jazz Dance is essential for any student who has broadway dreams. Students will learn the fundamentals of Jazz dance in our program. Students age 8-17 will study Jazz technique including center work, across the floor and dance choreography. We welcome students of all dance background to join as well as beginning students with no prior experience. Students will have opportunities to perform at our spring and holiday recital.

Requirements

In order to excel in Jazz dance, all our students are required to be enrolled in our Ballet program as well to ensure proper technical development. Students with extensive ballet training outside of PopRock may apply for exemption, but will still be required to take 2 classical dance classes in order to enroll in our program.

Masterclass

Twice each year students will participate in our masterclass to showcase their work in progress with other students and receive feedback from our masters.

Dance Recitals

Students will all participate in our twice annual large dance recitals on a large, professional stage. Student will be able to invite friends and family to watch their performances.
