HISTORY
Performing arts history in Sierra Madre
The building at the heart of Sierra Madre has been gathering audiences since 1910 — first a furniture store, then the Wistaria Theatre showing silent films in 1924, then the Sierra Madre Theatre, and since 1992 the Sierra Madre Playhouse: a 99-seat house with Ovation Awards on its shelf and a Tom Hanks appearance in its lore. Add the Wistaria Festival — a street fair with live music built around an 1894 vine certified as the world's largest blossoming plant — and this tiny city holds one of the Valley's proudest stages.

Free trial policy
Free trials are limited to one (1) free group class and one (1) free private lesson per student, across all programs, and are subject to availability. Free trial private music lessons — including voice — require a deposit of 50% of the first-lesson rate at the time of booking. After the trial lesson is attended, the deposit is either refunded or applied toward enrollment. If the student does not show up for the scheduled trial, or cancels with less than 24 hours' notice, the deposit is forfeited. The deposit requirement applies to music and voice private lessons only; acting and dance offer free group class trials instead, and private lessons in those programs are generally reserved for advanced students.
