Website Privacy & Cookie Policy
PopRock Academy Inc. · 9657 Las Tunas Dr., Temple City, CA 91780 · info@poprockacademy.com Effective date: July 18, 2026
PopRock Academy is a performing arts school for families. This policy explains what information our website collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written it to be read, not skimmed past. It covers this website; our broader school records and enrollment practices are described where they come up below.
The short version
Our website uses cookies for analytics and advertising measurement — but only if you say yes. When you first visit, a consent banner asks what you're comfortable with. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies load. You can change your mind anytime using the cookie settings icon on any page.
Information we collect through this website
Automatically, to run the site. When you visit, our hosting, security, and website systems process limited technical information — such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, date and time, and diagnostic or security data. This is used to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the website, and happens on any website you visit anywhere.
With your consent, for measurement. If you accept the relevant cookie categories, we use analytics and advertising technologies to understand which information visitors find useful, improve navigation and content, and evaluate our advertising. Details in the cookies section below.
When you contact or enroll with us. Trial bookings, class registration, information requests, and payments are completed through Opus1, the platform we use to manage enrollment, scheduling, billing, student and family records, and communications. Some Opus1 forms appear embedded on our website pages; others open on Opus1's own pages. Either way, information you submit — such as your name, contact details, and student information — is received and used by both PopRock Academy and Opus1 according to their respective roles: we use it to respond to inquiries, enroll students, provide and schedule classes, process payments, communicate with families, maintain records, and operate the school. Opus1's handling of information submitted through its platform is governed by Opus1's privacy policy.
Cookies we use
Cookies are grouped into categories you can accept or decline independently in the consent banner:
Necessary — required for the site and the consent system itself to function, including `cookieyes-consent`, which remembers your choices. These load regardless of consent because the site cannot work without them.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4 cookies (`_ga` and related) that help us understand site usage in aggregate. Loaded only if you consent to Analytics.
Advertisement — cookies from Meta (`_fbp`) and Google Ads (`_gcl_au` and related) used to measure whether our advertising works and, if you also use those platforms, to inform more relevant ads. Loaded only if you consent to Advertisement.
The complete, current list of cookies with durations and descriptions is shown in the consent banner's details view. Booking and enrollment pages provided by Opus1 — including forms embedded on our site — operate outside this website's consent banner and include Opus1's own analytics and cookies, described in Opus1's privacy policy.
Who receives information from this website
When you consent to the relevant categories, online identifiers and website activity may be processed by:
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (analytics) and Google Ads (advertising measurement). Google's privacy policy
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — Meta Pixel (advertising measurement for Facebook and Instagram). Meta's privacy policy
We do not send names, email addresses, or other directly identifying details to these partners through our website.
Beyond measurement, information may also be handled by the categories of providers that keep the site and school running: website hosting, content delivery, and security providers; our consent-management provider (CookieYes); Opus1 and its associated payment processors; and communication providers we use to respond to you. We may also disclose information to professional advisers or authorities when the law requires it, or to a successor if the school's ownership changes.
Selling and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. If you consent to Advertisement cookies, online identifiers and website activity may be "shared" with Google and Meta — as California law defines sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising — and you can opt out of that at any time using the cookie settings icon.
Text messages (SMS)
If you provide your mobile phone number, it will be used to send you SMS messages as described in our [SMS Terms & Conditions](/terms). No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your choices and rights
Change your consent anytime. Click the cookie settings icon (bottom corner of any page) to review or change your choices. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant cookies going forward.
Browser privacy signals. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals. There is no settled standard for interpreting these, and our website does not respond to them as distinct signals — but our consent model makes them largely unnecessary here: no analytics or advertising cookies load, and no sharing occurs, unless you affirmatively opt in through the banner. Declining, or simply never accepting, leaves you untracked by default.
Requests about your information. You may contact us at info@poprockacademy.com to ask about personal information we maintain about you, or to request correction or deletion. We may need to verify your identity or your authority to act for someone else, and requests are subject to legal exceptions and records we're required or reasonably need to retain — such as payment, contractual, safety, and dispute records. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act; see the California Attorney General's CCPA page. Whatever your location, we respond to requests in good faith.
Children's privacy
Our website and online enrollment process are intended for parents, guardians, and adults. Children under 13 should not submit personal information directly through the website or enrollment forms; parents and guardians provide student information when enrolling in our services. We do not knowingly use website advertising technologies to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information without appropriate parental involvement, contact us at info@poprockacademy.com and we will review and, where appropriate, delete it.
How long we keep information
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here — providing services, maintaining business and financial records, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting our rights. Cookie durations are listed in the cookie settings panel. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of internet transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to other services
Our website links to and embeds services operated by others — including Opus1, Google, Meta, and social platforms. Their practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review before submitting information.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Meaningful changes to what we collect or share will be reflected in the consent banner as well.

Interactive tools. When you use interactive tools on this site (such as our program builder), we collect anonymous usage events — like which age group or programs were selected — through the same consent-based analytics described above. These events contain no personal information, and you can decline them by rejecting analytics cookies in our cookie banner.
