Our acting program is designed to teach students of all backgrounds the fundamentals of acting. Students who desire to pursue a professional acting career as well as students who wants to improve their speaking and story comprehension skills are all invited to join.

PopRock Academy's acting program is designed by our founder Paul Kwo, who have been in feature films such as the blockbuster indie hit God's Not Dead and God's Not Dead 2. He has also worked on numerous Television shows, commercials, films and video games. He brings his real world experience into our program here at PopRock Academy.

5 reasons to study acting

1. Acting can improve confidence and a better sense of self
Confidence is a universal part of life. Developing a better sense of self can help students find the confidence they need to tackle the material in acting as well as other areas in their lives.

2. Acting can improve public speaking skills
Public speaking skills by far one of the most important and universal skill a person can have. No matter what industry a student pursues, the ability to speak in front of their peers to present their ideas, and to lead and manage their projects are increasingly an indispensable part of everyday work life.

3. Acting can help students be more comfortable with social situations
Through the use of improv games and exercises, students can gain skills that will help them think faster and better on their feet. This is a skill that can significantly help students develop better networking skills for social situations.

4. Acting improves reading comprehension
Through acting, students bring to life the words on the page. It allows the student to become fully aware of what a story is about, and how the characters fit into the story.

5. Acting can help student release stress from academic work
For some students, the opportunity to interact with other students and act gives their mind a temporary relief from the stress that has built up from everyday academic work.
