TUITION – 1. All on-going payments are processed through Cardpointe app via ACH or credit/debit card 10 days prior to the first of the following month. Specialty workshops and summer camps are charged in full at the time of enrollment. Rates are determined based on program in which students are enrolled. Tuition is never pro-rated for tardiness, and missed lessons and not refundable. Tuition does not include any retail teaching material such as books, instruments etc. There may be a few minutes of transition time in the beginning and ending of each class. A $40 late fee will be charge for payment that is more than 3 days late. PopRock Academy reserve the right to adjust tuition as needed with a minimum of 60 days written notification to student prior to the adjustment.
CANCELLATIONS AND MAKE-UPS – 2. From time to time, our faculty may not attend class. PopRock Academy will provide a guest instructor. If a guest instructor is not available, a make up class will be scheduled promptly. PopRock Academy may issue a credit or refund at their discretion in lieu of a make up class. Students may not reschedule a class because of a guest instructor. For any private lesson missed by a student, students can sign up for a group Ensemble Masterclass within 3 months of the missed lesson. Student must sign up at least 24 hours in advance. Once student registers for a make up class, the class is made up. Students who miss a group class may attend any available group class within 3 months of the missed class. Make up group class must of equal or shorter duration, and must be age and level appropriate. No other make up is provided for missed group class. Specialty workshops and summer camps cannot be made up. Students cannot attend make up classes after the last day of the last paid month.
DISCONTINUING LESSONS AND/OR CLASSES (SPECIALTY WORKSHOPS EXEMPT) – 3. To discontinue ongoing classes as well as charges to your account, Account Holder must fill out the official PopRock Academy withdrawal form by the 15th of the month before the start of the term you wish to withdraw from. We do not prorate tuition for the last term's lessons and/or classes. Students will be responsible for their last term's tuition whether or not they attend lessons and/or classes. After withdrawal, student will lose access to all PopRock related programs and online accounts including but not limited to PopRock TV, PopRock Star Achievement program and others. We cannot hold private lesson time or class spots after withdrawal. Registration fee is required upon student's return. Student who do not pay their last term may not re-enroll at PopRock Academy until their balance is cleared.
SUMMER VACATION – 4. PopRock Academy operates year round and does not close for the summer. If you are taking a term off for vacation and want to resume the next term, your payment is still due on the 10 days before the start of the month to reserve your lesson or class space. You may attend make up classes to make up any missed class.
CARE OF STUDENTS – 5. The school is not responsible for providing before or after care for students. Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time periods before or after their lessons. Children must wait for their parents to pick them up inside the Academy. PopRock Academy assumes no responsibility for children who leave unaccompanied.
TRANSPARENCY POLICY – 6. Only parents/legal guardians with children who are under age 5 are allowed to sit in on private lessons during the first month of lessons. No observers are allowed inside any class. This is to ensure the highest quality of teaching we can provide. Visitors are allowed to observe classes and lessons through our observation windows, or via our video monitors.
INDEMNIFICATION – 7. Parents, legal guardians of minors, students and adult students waive the right to any legal action against PopRock Academy Inc., Staff and Affiliates for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal lesson or class activity or any other activity conducted by the students or their siblings before, during, or after lesson or class time, including hearing loss or hearing damage. Students agree to hold Poprock Academy Inc. harmless of all claims, losses, or expenses that may be assessed to Poprock Academy Inc. that are a result from the act of all non-Poprock Academy staff and faculty.
DAMAGES – 8. Students are responsible for all the physical property at PopRock Academy. If a student damages any property belonging to PopRock Academy and/or our affiliates, students or parents/legal guardians of students under the age of 18 are fully responsible for the cost of the damage.
